Full Landscape Service

We will visit your home or business for a consultation and walk around the area to be landscaped. We will ask you questions about likes and dislikes in color and plant selection, take pictures, and evaluate the site for problem areas. We will then submit a bid. If you choose to have a drawing, a fee will be charged.  After a date has been set, we will come and install your new landscape in a timely manner. In many cases you can go to work in the morning and come home to a new landscape. Most residential jobs can be finished in 1-2 days. Please note:   * Half down is required to be assured a place on our schedule.

Cleanups/Maintenance : 

This consists of pruning back plants where applicable, applying weed control, fertilizing, cleaning all debris out of beds, edging, weeding, inspecting for disease and insect damage and restoring, removing or adding mulch where applicable. We generally quote by each individual job. Our services are calculated as time and materials as follows.

Clean/Maintenance costs:

$24.25 per man, per hour, plus material such as mulch or replacement/new plants. Over the years, Hickory Lane Gardens has installed many landscapes that clients want us to maintain. If you are having a landscape completed by HLG, you can rest assured we will be of service to you when it comes to cleanup or maintenance should you want it.

Consultation:

Consultations are free up to one hour for residents of the county who are serious about HIRING a professional landscaper. If you are planning on doing it yourself and would like a consultation, the fee is $75.00 per hour. For clients outside of the county, a travel fee will be charged. At your consultation, be prepared with your list of likes and dislikes. If you have pictures of what you like, they are helpful. We will bring pictures of the plants we suggest that will work best for your site. We want you to have plants and colors that you like in your landscape. We will guide you and help make the correct plant choices for your unique conditions. (i.e.) Extreme Wind, Total Shade, Damp/Wet areas, Deer Infested, Steep Slopes, Seasonal with Interest, Poor Soil, Rocky areas, High Traffic, Salt Tolerant (etc…)

On Site Consultation:

Hickory Lane Gardens will send someone to come and oversee a landscape installation you are having done or are doing yourself to make sure it is installed properly. This may include seeing that trees and other plants are spaced and planted properly, placed appropriately, have proper topsoil, nutrients, mulch depth, and provide advice as needed, every step of the way. Putting one tree in a wrong spot can cost you the fee alone. This service is $650.00 per day, more for travel over 50 miles.

Landscape Drawing:  

If you like to do your own landscaping, but need help with where to place plants and what plants work best for your site, we offer simple landscape drawings that will show you what plants need to go where. These generally run about $150.00 depending on size of project. A Landscape Architect’s drawing will be approximately $500.00 again depending on job. If getting more than one bid on a landscape job you are hiring out, a drawing is a great tool to get more accurate bids.

Luxury Do-It-Yourself Service:  

We do your leg work for you. HLG will deliver all your plants to go with your design. You install the landscape. Your drawing and plants will be delivered to your door. It’s a Do-It-Yourself project without all the running or forgetting, from the foundation up.
