About Us

HLG was established as a home based business in 2001. We grow and produce perennial plants for area high country residents that are marketed through area farmer’s markets. We also develop garden designs and landscapes, implementing mountain hardy trees, shrubs, and perennial plants. Growing and producing our own nursery stock here in the high country assures top quality products and eliminates the cost associated with transitions from us, the grower, to you, the gardener by avoiding the middle man. We strive not only to market our plants, but also to educate the consumer on techniques that ensure the continued health of the plant. Many of the people who work with us are students, both college and high school, who are currently studying various horticulture related subjects. Some of these students are on a scholarship program through our company. It is our hope that we can ensure a sufficient number of successful area growers and nurserymen now and in the future in our high country.

All clinics are Free and a great way to be outside, get some sun, and fresh air, learn hands on, meet new garden enthusiast and share some new ideas.
